1. Basic English Grammar
Based on The Subject, The types of Subject and its subtypes.

The Subject of Sentence:-

The name of the person or thing that is discussed is called the subject of that sentence. The subject is called that which remains connected to the verb and acts in the sentence

Subject is the main and first part of the sentence. Sentence's the subject comes first.

For example:
We went to Delhi.
Soria dances in Patna.

Here We and Soria are Subject of the sentence.

There are two types of subject in English Grammar.

A. Classical Subject                                                                B. Informal Subject


A. Classical Subject: - The subject of sentence uses for person is called Classical subject. It is also called Simple Subject. It is composed of a single pronoun, noun or noun phrase.

E.g. I, We, You, They, He, She, It, Ram, etc.

The kind of Classical Subject

There are three kinds of Classical subject.

a. First person: - The words are used for the person or Person speaking are called First person.

E.g. I (Singular) We (Plural)

b. Second person: - The words are used for the person or Person spoken to be called Second Person.

E.g. You (Singular) You (Plural)

c. Third person: - The words are used for the person or Person spoken of are called Third person.

E.g. He (Male), She (Female), It (Neuter), Ram = Singular

They (Plural) = Plural


B. Informal Subject: - It is made by a noun phrase and any words, phrases, or clauses.

E.g. The man, the bat of Sachin, Cow’s milk, etc.

The bat of Sachin is too good.

The kind of Informal Subject

There are two kinds of Informal Subject.

a. Complex Subject:-
A complex subject is made of a noun phrase and any words, phrases, or clauses that modify it.

For example:-

The man who had followed us inside walked over to the work.

The better performance of Rohit Sharma pleased the cricket audience.

b. Compound Subject:-
A compound subject is made of two or more noun phrases are joined together with a coordinating conjunction.

For example:

The man and the woman walked over to the duty.

Here "the man and the woman." is a compound Subject.
